DONATING TO #W3RTECH

The goal of W3RTECH is to increase the amount of diversity in technology jobs, technology board positions and technology entrepreneurship. The funding and fellowship program is an avenue to address the W3RTECH goal. Supporters, advocates and participants will be asked to donate to assist with covering the expenses of creating the campaign. These donations will be used for:

  • Strategic Planning
  • Implementation for recruitment to programs
  • Program & Education on Diversity Inclusions
  • Research and Development on How Diversity Drives Success
  • Diversity Speaker Series
  • Social Media Campaign

FUNDING & FELLOWSHIPS

To further increase exposure and access, W3RTECH will offer fellowships and micro-grants as a direct infusion into the diverse community of South Florida. The fellowships and micro-grants will be awarded through an application process. Grantees will receive access to monthly meetings, peers and mentors to assist them on their new journey.
Fundraising to support this effort will be used for the following, but not limited to:

Investments

  • Non-equity investment into startup and new diversity led companies (51% Diversity Ownership)

Fees

  • Registration Fees / Traveling Expenses for diverse candidates to attend conferences, events, symposium
  • Expenses and Fee coverage to participate in incubators, accelerators and coworker space

Stipends to cover living expenses for diverse candidates that are attending accredited code training academies

Recruitment

  • Recruitment of diverse candidates for placement into apprenticeships
  • Recruitment and placement for more diverse keynote speakers, panelists

Youth Activities

  • Small programs to start engage young diverse minds

SPONSORSHIPS

W3RTECH is looking for corporate sponsors to primarily support the operating budget of the efforts. Additional monies that exceed the budget will be used for the Funding & Fellowships. W3RTECH will help Digital Grass, Gateway Software Development, Code Fever and other organizations by serving as “Diversity Evangelist” with the focus of bringing exposure, accessibility and quality candidates to organizations, companies and startups committed to increasing diversity in technology.

Donations to W3RTECH, Inc. are deductible to the full extent allowable under IRC sections 501c3.
